Frisbee, a first-year on the women’s golf team, is known for her competitive spirt and drive. In her first season with the Wasps, she strives for success and improvement through hard work and practice.

“Briah is my diamond in the rough. She is coachable, competitive, and flat out funny. She will be a huge part of our core for the next four years and I love coaching her,” Coach Mannino of the women’s golf team said.

Briah Frisbee, a first-year student studying sports management, is excited for her upcoming years as a golf player at E&H.

“I feel like the team works very well together. I feel like we all hold each other accountable and everyone works hard to do their best,” Frisbee says.

Although Frisbee had other offers to play basketball and golf at other colleges, she chose E&H due to the campus and the golf coach.

“I love the way that Coach cares about all the players; he wants to see us grow as a team and become better. I know if I needed to talk to him about anything, I know I could go to him and he would do his best to help me,” Frisbee explains. “I felt E&H was the best fit for me.”

Frisbee has been playing golf since her junior year of high school when her dad inspired her to begin playing.

“My dad loved to play golf, and it was a way for me and him to spend time together. He motivated me to want to work hard at it and get good enough to compete in college,” Frisbee says.

Though Frisbee feels the tournaments so far this season have been successful, she is still motivated to work harder.

“In golf you can always improve, it takes a lot of practice,” she said.

The team has a fall season and a spring season. The former started Sept. 10 at the Bruins Golf Classic where Frisbee finished 11th overall.

In the most recent tournament, E&H women’s golf team placed 11th while Frisbee placed 27th overall.

Their next tournament is on Oct. 11 at UVA Wise alongside the men’s golf team.
