E&H Announces First Positive COVID-19 Case

On Tuesday, Sept. 8 Emory & Henry College announced that an employee or student on campus had been diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. This is the first positive case for the college.

It is possible that any students or employees who came into contact with this individual may have been exposed to the virus. 

Those who have been in “close contact” with the individual will be notified by the local health department.The impacted area will be properly disinfected and COVID-19 Daily Self-Checks will continue.

Any student or employee who begins to show signs of the virus should go to their place of residence and report their symptoms to their designated college official.
