For the first time in program history, the Emory & Henry College Men’s Swimming Team competed at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships Friday. After day one of the competitions, the Wasps placed 10th out of 10 teams in the competition. 50-Yard Freestyle – Sophomore Nick Barr, was 28th while sophomore Evan Prillhart took 37th in 25.99 and: 29.29, respectively. In the 50 yard freestyle Sophomore Wilson Naff, set a new E&H record, stopping the watches in 23.32.
The Wasps continued action on Saturday in day two of the ODAC Championships. 100-Yard Butterfly Sophomore Wilson Naff won the Consolation Final, finishing ninth in 56.51.
In the 200-Yard Freestyle Sophomore, Nick Barr was 21st in the preliminaries, clocking a 2:11.96.
In the 100-Yard Breaststroke, Sophomore Evan Prillhart finished 20th (1:17.27) in the prelims.
In the 100-Yard Backstroke Naff gave the Wasps their first-ever All-ODAC men’s swimmer with a third-place finish. He stopped the watches at 53.87.
The Wasps wrapped up the competition on Sunday by placing 10th in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships Sunday.
In the 200-Yard Backstroke Sophomore Wilson Naff posted his second third-place finish of the weekend, stopping the watches in 1:56.78.
In the 100-Yard Freestyle Sophomore Nick Barr went: 58.11 to finish 28th in the preliminaries.
In the 200 Yard Breaststroke Sophomore Evan Prillhart took the first alternate spot with the time of 2:50.71.
