Myesha Logan: Taking Point for the Women’s Basketball Team

As a seven year old the Junior, Myesha Logan fell in love the game of basketball. Playing at Oakland Baptist Church in Roanoke VA, she played on a co-ed team Logan said, “she enjoyed beating the guy’s.”

Logan grew up around basketball and of course fell in love with the game quickly, her dad played for the church as well as her closest cousin Brianna. Brianna Logan currently plays basketball for Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.

Myesha went on to say, “I always looked up to my cousin so I honestly believe that’s where my true passion came from.”

Logan finds that basketball is a family sport that has a positive impact on her as well as her family.

For Myesha, basketball is a stress reliever from any of the negatives that come her way, “basketball has always been my oasis when it came to getting away from the stress of the day.”

As a sophomore Myesha Played in 21 games, scored 26 points on the year, posted 14 rebounds, 15 assists, and 14 steals on the season.

This season, she is averaging 5.8 points per game as well as 2.7 rebounds per game and 3.2 assist per game as well.

Myesha is a leader for the Wasps on and off the floor, she is a great athlete as well as a great student.

Myesha is currently studying nutrition and also does a work study in the Emory & Henry weight room. Meysha plans on being a nutritionist or dietitian after she graduates next year from Emory & Henry.
