This past weekend the Emory & Henry Equestrian team took first out of 12 at Virginia Tech. Junior Fran- cisco Caba-Guil placed first at the Open Equitation Over Fences, Sophomore Bobbie Jo Adsit won both her classes, other first place ribbon holders included: Madison McKinsey in Intermediate Over Fences, Jane Mikusa in Intermediate on the Flat and Novice Over Fences, and Allison Dayley taking away 2 blue ribbons in Novice Fences and Flat competition.

In addition to the Wasps coming away with numerous 1st place ribbons sophomore Bobbie Jo Adsit was placed in a class all her own, after winning the title of High Point rider of the Day for the second straight show. While Freshman Allison Dayley was awarded Reserve High Point Rider of the Day.

This competition season, the Wasps Equestrian team has walked away with three 3rd place titles and the past two being back to back team award sweeps. The team hopes to continue this winning streak at their show at the annual High Point University doubleheader start- ing Saturday October 21.
