Men’s XC Misses 6th by 13 Spots, Finishes 8th

After a strong regular season, this past Saturday, the Emory & Henry College Men’s Cross Country Team competed in the ODAC Championship Meet at the Buena Vista Links Golf Course.
The Wasps finished in 8th place out of 10 total teams. Sophomore Austin Tolbert finished 31st overall to lead the Wasps, finishing in a personal best time of 28:02. Senior Alex Cooper was not far behind, covering the course in a time of 28:15. Senior Kevin Watts ran the race in a time of 28:40, finishing 44th. Finishing 4th for the Wasps was sophomore Zane Moran. His time of 29:14 was good enough for 63rd. Senior Jackson Feezell rounded out the Wasps’ top five positions, running the course in a time of 30:30 and finishing 78th overall.
Washington and Lee won the team title, followed by Lynchburg College and Bridgewater College. The Wasps will return to the course on Nov. 12. The Wasps will compete at the 2016 NCAA Division III South/Southeast Region Championships at Berry College. Championships. The meet will take place at Berry College.
